A Life Less Ordinary

WW – Cherry on Top While Traveling

I have decided to post photos of past travels in general and our eight year sailing adventure on SV Irie in particular for Wordless Wednesdays. I hope you enjoy them. Also, I can’t do completely “wordless”, but I try my best with “almost wordless”. πŸ™‚

My theme “Cherry on Top” for this week comes from The Daily Post. While I am totally passionate about traveling and enjoy many aspects of it, my highlights remain wildlife encounters. Therefore, “meeting” and interacting with animals is the cherry on top of my explorations, in the world or in the back yard!

For more “Cherry on Top” shots of nature, check out this gallery post, which was part of my A-Z Blogging challenge this year.

Who or what is your cherry on top, in the day-to-day life or on vacation?

  1. I think the “cherry on top” for me is learning about new cultures and meeting new people. I’m very curious about how other people live.

    • I agree. Learning about – and being part of – other cultures is captivating and interesting. It could come in as a second cherry for me, but I have to admit to liking animals better than people, especially when collecting more and more experiences over the years. πŸ™

  2. I couldn’t agree with you more about wildlife being the “cherry-on-top.” Lovely pictures!

  3. So funny! It’s a bit like me and Six word Saturday, Liesbet πŸ™‚

  4. The cherry on top is coming home to our floating home each night – and friendships, new and old.

    • Those are great cherries, Lucy! Cherries to cherish. πŸ™‚ I’d be happy to come home to your floating home as well. Independence looks so comfortable!!
